Jerred Scott strung together back-to-back rounds under par to finish out his 2025 season and lead Dominican men's golf to a seventh place finish at the PacWest Men's Golf Championships at Aliante Golf Club.
University of Hawai'i at Hilo ran away from the field winning the team title at 7 under par with Hawai'i Pacific in second at 1 over par. The Penguins finished at 47 over to top Westmont and Chaminade in the final standings.
Scott started slowly posting a 4-over 76 but showed promise with three birdies in the round. On Tuesday, Scott shook off a double bogey to start the round to follow with a birdie to regain some momentum. After a bogey on five, Scott did not have another hole above par as he posted three birdies and 10 pars to end his round entering the clubhouse at 1-under 71 and begin his climb up the individual standings. He continued his strong play in the final round starting with a pair of pars before a birdie on the par-5 third hole. Another birdie on six allowed him to make the turn at 1 under and he shot even par on the back nine for another 71 moving up four more spots into a tie for ninth at 2 over and earn All-PacWest honors.
Daniel Marmorstein experienced ups and downs over his 54-holes as he started strongest among all Dominican athletes with six birdies in an opening round of even par 72. Marmorstein matched Scott's dominance on the back nine on the second day with a 2 under to bring his round to a 1-over 73. He slowed on the final day posting a 6 over to finish tied for 17th at 7 over par.
