The Penguin Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (PSAAC) is composed of student-athlete representatives for each particular sport: softball, soccer, tennis, basketball, volleyball, golf, and lacrosse. The PSAAC's mission is to enhance the total student-athlete experience by promoting opportunity for all student-athletes, protecting student-athlete well-being, promoting community outreach, giving a voice to all student-athletes, and fostering a positive student-athlete image. The committee is all-inclusive; we do not discriminate based on ethnicity, age, gender, sexual orientation, religion or sport. The committee seeks to promote healthy and constant communication between the student-athletes at Dominican University of California, the athletic administration, and conference office. Another purpose of the PSAAC is to give student-athletes an opportunity to communicate suggestions, needs, wants, praise, and problems to the athletics administration. Furthermore, the PSAAC encourage student-athlete involvement in community service projects, both on campus and within the community. The committee's final purpose is to design programs that will encourage academic success, health promotion, social responsibility, and general awareness of the needs of the student-athletes within the campus.
