SANTA BARBARA, Calif. – Daniel Marmorstein led Dominican men's golf to a sixth place finish at the Westmont Invitational after Tuesday's final round at Sandpiper Golf Course.
 
Westmont won the team championship at 10 over par with Claremont-Mudd-Scripps in second at 13 over. The Penguins finished at 30 over par to top PacWest foe Chaminade by 11 strokes.
 
Marmorstein had a solid start to the tournament as he posted a 2-over 74 on the back of 12 pars and a pair of birdies. As good as Marmorstein was in the first round, he was even better in the final 18 holes of the tournament posting four birdies, three on the front nine alone, on his way to a 1-under 71. Marmorstein moved up the leaderboard into  third place at 1 over par, four strokes behind Nicholas Rocha of Westmont who won the individual title.
 
Mason Mancasola also saw improvements on his second day of play improving from a 77 to a 3-over 75 with 13 pars on the round to move into a tie for 15th at 8 over par with Ky Stopp of Chaminade. Carter Bell had a roller coaster first round having a team best five birdies in the round on his way to a 5-over 77 and added 14 pars on the second day on the way to a second 77 to tie for 24th at 10 over par.
 
Jerred Scott got off to a slow start with an opening 82 but had the second best round among his teammates in the second round using three birdies to finish with a 1-over 73 to move up the leaderboard into 30th at 11 over par. Carter Degelman rounded out the squad posting back-to-back rounds of 82 to finish 34th at 20 over par.
 
Dominican will conclude its fall schedule at the Otter Invitational teeing off Monday at Bayonet & Blackhorse Golf Course.
