SEASIDE, Calif. – Dominican men's golf concluded its fall schedule with a 19th place finish at the Otter Invitational on Tuesday at Bayonet Golf Course.
 
Cal State East Bay won the team title with a four over par to withstand a late push by host Cal State Monterey Bay who shot a 9 under in the final round to pull within three strokes of the Pioneers. The Penguins had their worst tournament of the fall season finishing at 82 over par after 54 holes.
 
Jerred Scott led Dominican as he improved his score with each consecutive round at the invitational. Scott opened with a 78 on a cold damp course that bogged down play at the course. In the second round, Scott opened with three pars and two birdies before going on to shoot a 5-over 77 after concluding the second 18 holes on Tuesday morning. Scott saved his best for last as he shot par on 13 holes with two birdies to finish at 1 over to lead his team on the afternoon and move into a tie for 49th at 12 over for the tournament.
 
Daniel Marmorstien started strong shooting 2 under on the back nine of his opening round on his way to a 1-over 73 before adding a 5 over in the second round. Marmorstein finished up with an 81 in the final round and tied for 64th at 15 over par. Carter Bell had a rough start to his tournament shooting an 82 followed by an 84 before bouncing back with a solid 5-over 77 to enter the clubhouse tied for 97th at 34 over par.
 
Joseph Berggren had a similar feel to his tournament shooting rounds 88 and 86 over the first 36-holes before closing strong with a 4-over 76 shooting 2 under par on the back nine of his final round to tie for 105th at 34 over par. Mason Mancasola wrapped up the active team with line of 86, 82 and 84 to finish 107th at 36 over par.
 
Dominican will now begin its preparations for the Spring segment of its season with the schedule to be announced at a later date.
