EMPORIA, Kansas.-
Adrian Aguirre made his mark this weekend at the NCAA DII Track and Field Championships for the black and gold. Aguirre, the senior out of California, competed in the men's 110m hurdles.
On Friday Aguirre qualified for the championships with a time of 14.01. Time is everything as the top 8 moved on to the championships, and Aguirre was able to claim that eighth spot finishing one second faster than Kerdel Moses who placed ninth.
In the championship round Aguirre was able to jump two spots from Friday's round as he posted a sixth-place finish. Aguirre now becomes a two-time First Team NCAA DII All-American and will go down as one of the most decorated student-athletes in Dominican Athletics history.
