Penguin place 19th at star studded Desert Invite

TUCSON, Ariz. – Domincian women's golf finished 19th in a highly competitive West Texas A&M Desert Invite at Ventana Canyon.
 
No. 10 St. Mary's won the team title after finishing at 53 over as a team in a field featuring 10 ranked teams in NCAA Division II. No. 6 Cal State San Marcos tied with No. 13 West Texas A&M for second at 62 over par. Dominican finished the tournament at 146 over.
 
Ellexis Mingming finished 59th after rounds of 83 and 88 to enter the clubhouse at 27 over par for the tournament. Faith Guevara posted rounds of 85 and 93 to place 83 at 34 over par. Madi Whitney posted rounds of 90 and 93 on her way to a 39 over to place 90th with Angelika Stevens posting rounds of 93 and 97 to place 95th at 46 over. Delilah Saur placed 98th at 74 over par.
 
Dominican will turn its attention to the Sonoma State Spring Invitational to conclude its regular season competitions beginning Monday at Santa Rosa Golf and Country Club.
