ROCKLIN, Calif. – Dominican men's cross-country team traveled up north Saturday morning to compete in the Jessup Cross Country Invitational. It was a freshman that made the most impact for not just the Penguins, but the whole invitational.
Diego Montag, fresh out of high school, placed first in the Jessup Cross Country Invitational with a time of 26:36.8.

Javier Machado wasn't far behind his fellow Penguin finishing in the top 10 with a time of 30.34.3 which was good enough for seventh. Juniors
Danny Salmeron Romo and Starlight (José) Lain-Straus finished 16
th and 17
th, and Andrew Reinhard rounded it out for Dominican with a time of 39.00.2
The Penguins will be back at it Oct 11
th as they compete in the San Francisco State Invitational.
