OAHU, Hawaii.- Dominican men's and women's cross country teams traveled to Hawaii this weekend for the PacWest Conference Championships hosted by Hawaii Pacific University.
Both the men's and women's teams competed hard and fought through the heat out on the island. Dominican men's team came in seventh place led by graduate student 
Rob Dawson who posted a team best time of 26:34.5. On the women's side, graduate student leader 
Bella Bueno finished with a team best time of 24:08.3
Sarah Chavez and 
Tatyana Robles rounded out the top three for the Penguin women's while it was 
Diego Montag and 
Louie Etta rounding out the top three times for the men's side.
Both the men's and women's teams moved up a spot from last year and are headed in the right direction going into the offseason.
