IRVINE, Calif. – The 2015-16 PacWest Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards were announced on Tuesday. The awards recognize one student-athlete from each of the PacWest's 15 sponsored sports for their academic and athletic achievements during the year.
 
Dominican University of California's Drew Nelson repeated as PacWest Men's Golf Scholar-Athlete of the Year with a 3.81 grade point average. Nelson was also a 2016 CoSIDA Academic All-District First Team selection and All-PacWest Second Team selection.

The honorees were selected in a vote by the PacWest sports information directors. Each of the winners are now eligible for the PacWest Male and Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year awards, which will be announced in the coming weeks.
