IRVINE, Calif. – This week's PacWest Golfers of the Week are Dominican University of California's Nick Rivera and Madeleine Bong. The awards are based on events played April 7-13.

Rivera recorded a fifth-place finish at the 43rd Annual Hanny Stanislaus Invitational at the Turlock Golf & Country Club. The Seaside, California native shot a 4-under par 212 in the three rounds. He was tied for 35th place after the first day (148), but shot an 8-under 64 in the third round, the lowest round of the tournament and a Dominican program record. Dominican finished in fifth place.
 
Bong tied for third place at the Sonoma State Spring Invitational at the Foxtail Golf Club. The Los Gatos, California native carded an 11-over 155 to finish in a five-way tie for third place, the top spot by a PacWest competitor. Dominican finished sixth as a team.

The Dominican golf teams will now head to Litchfield Park, Arizona for the 2016 PacWest Championships, April 18-20, at Wigwam Golf Resort.
