FINAL RESULTS - MEN
VALLEJO, Calif. — The Dominican University of California women's and men's golf teams competed at the Pioneer Shootout at Hiddenbrooke Golf Club, hosted by Cal State East Bay, on Monday and Tuesday. The Dominican women finished last out of eight teams and the men placed 11th out of 12 teams.
The Dominican women finished with a team score of 953 (+377) over two rounds.
Kari Young led the Lady Penguins with a combined score of 185 (+41) to place 33rd out of 40 players.
Sonoma State took the top spot on the women's side with a team score of 638 (+62) and featured the tournament's top player, Spencer Heller (152/+8).
It was
Sean Nadir leading the Penguin men, tying for 40th place out of 68 players with a combined score of 241 (+25).
Dan Willsen tied for 52nd place with a 247 (+31) and
Scotty Holdridge finished tied for 58 with a 252 (+36).
Cal State Monterey Bay featured three top 10 players and topped all men's teams with a combined score of 896 (+32).
The Dominican golf teams will play in the Dominican Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, March 15 and 16 at Peacock Gap Golf Club in San Rafael.
