Dominican women's tennis had five players named as 2023 ITA Scholar Athletes while the program earned the ITA All-Academic Team honor for the seventh year in a row.

Antoinette Schreiber led the group of five individuals as she claimed the fourth scholar athlete honor of her career, one for every year as a Penguin.
Gina Dudley claimed her second straight honor in as many years, while
Astrid Craig,
Hannah Lam-Truong and
Sophia Portillos each claimed their first ITA academic honor at Dominican. The Penguins finished with a team GPA of 3.461 for the 2022-23 academic year.
In 2023, 623 NCAA Division II Women's student-athletes were named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, and 97 women's tennis programs were awarded the All-Academic Team distinction.

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:
- have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year
- be listed on the institutional eligibility form
To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:
- have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale),
- all student-athletes included should be listed on the institutional eligibility form, and
- all varsity letter winners should be factored into the cumulative team GPA for the current academic year
