LOS ANGELES –
Wakilli Bennett's search for a qualifying time for the NCAA postseason will continue one more week as he failed to best his results at the PacWest Championships on Saturday afternoon at the Oxy Invite.
Bennett came into the day looking to shave .06 seconds off his time at last week's PacWest Championships in order to meet the qualifying standard of 10.55 seconds to qualify for the NCAA Championships. That time continued to elude him as he posted a 10.92 to take fourth overall at the meet. Bennett also raced in the 200 meter finishing 11th with a time of 21.87 seconds.
His pursuit to advance will continue next week at the APU Last Chance Open hosted in Azusa on Saturday at 3:45 p.m. PDT for the 100-meter dash and 4:45 p.m. for the 200 meter.
