Box Score ROHNERT PARK, Calif. – Dominican women's tennis fell 6-0 Wednesday afternoon to Sonoma State University at the SSU Tennis Courts.
The teams raced to finish the match starting with singles play due to rain. The teams were delayed from during singles play briefly before doubles matches were called off late. Jensyn Warren captured the first singles match of the day 6-1, 6-0 for the Seawolves (9-5) with Clarisa Colling adding a 6-1, 6-1 victory in No. 2 singles. Jenna DeTurk and Hannah Highsmith sealed the victory for Sonoma State with 6-0, 6-1 victories.
Ofelia Lopez Camarena and
Michelle Li were the bright spots for the Penguins (3-12) as Lopez Camarena won three games and Li took four, but both fell in their singles competitions.
Dominican will return home Saturday to host Cal State LA at noon PDT at Castellucci Family Tennis Center.
