SAN FRANCISCO – The Dominican University of California women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 road loss at Academy of Art on Friday.
The result snapped the Penguins' five-match winning streak. Dominican now owns an overall record of 9-6 while the Urban Knights, ranked at No. 11 nationally, improve to 14-3.
For the Penguins on Friday in San Francisco, the closest doubles result came at the No. 3 position where
Cori Beeby and
Solveig Karlsen fell 8-3 to Paula Alcantara and Monika Stanikova.
Skyler Schaar represented Dominican at the No. 1 single position but dropped a 6-2, 6-1 result to Stanikova.
The Penguins will return to action on Saturday with a 12 p.m. home match against Stanislaus State.
