WAIPAHU, Hawaii – The Dominican University of California women's tennis team rolled to a 9-0 sweep over Chaminade on Tuesday.
The Penguins accomplished the rare feat of sweeping all six of the singles matchups by a 6-0, 6-0 score.
The duo of
Skyler Schaar and Brooke Briseno went undefeated in doubles as well, capturing an 8-0 result at the No. 2 position.
Alex Wartenberg and
Rickimae Torres earned an 8-3 win at No. 1 while
Solveig Karlsen and
Cori Beeby posted an 8-1 score at No. 3.
The team sweep improves Dominican's season record to 3-4 while Chaminade falls to 0-6. The Penguins will conclude their Hawaii trip with a Wednesday match at Hawaii Hilo at 9 a.m.
