SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – The Dominican University of California women's tennis team cruised to a 9-0 home victory Friday over American River.
Continuing a four-match homestand, the result marked the second sweep of the season for the Penguins. Overall, Dominican owns a 5-5 record.
To begin Friday's contest against American River, the Penguins captured a sweep of the doubles matches by not losing a single game.
Four of the team's six singles matches ended in a perfect score of 6-0, 6-0.
Skyler Schaar achieved the feat at the No. 1 position while Brooke Brizeno,
Solveig Karlsen and
Cori Beeby didn't lose a game in the No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6 spots.
The Penguins' homestand continues on Sunday, March 26 when they host Hawaii Hilo for a 10 a.m. match.
