SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – The Dominican University of California women's tennis team dropped an 8-1 home match on Saturday to Point Loma.
The Penguins' record drops to 4-5 while the Sea Lions improve to 8-4.
Dominican's lone point on Saturday came at the No. 4 singles position, when Brooke Briseno defeated Nicole Camaratta by a score of 6-4, 6-4.

Skyler Schaar gave Point Loma's top doubles pair a battle at the No. 1 spot but ultimately fell 8-4.
In the No. 2 and No 3 singles positions,
Rickimae Torres and
Alex Wartenberg put pressure on their opponents in the second set. Both finished on the losing end of a 7-5 result to close out their matches.
Dominican will look to bounce back on Friday with a 2:30 p.m. home match against American River.
