IRVINE, Calif. – Dominican University of California junior
Julianna Mendez has been named PacWest Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week. The award is based on races Sept. 7-13.
The Windsor, California native Mendez had another stellar performance in her second race of the year at the Humboldt Invitational. She was the top-collegiate, finishing third overall behind two unattached runners with a time of 22:12. She was the first DII finisher at the San Francisco Invitational the previous week. Dominican placed third overall.
Dominican will next travel to Santa Clarita, California for the Mustang Challenge, hosted by The Master's College, on Saturday, Sept. 19.
