SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — The Dominican University of California women's tennis team ran its win streak to three matches as the Penguins improved to 7-4 and matched the program's win total from a year ago with a 7-2 victory over UH Hilo on Sunday.

The No. 10 regionally-ranked Penguins staked a 3-0 lead after sweeping doubles play. Irina Morozova and Emily Prescott took an 8-6 victory over Morrisa Kahakui and Rachel Sugiyama in No. 1 singles play. Chloe Vicari and Caitlin Aloia took No. 2 doubles while Francesca Katafias and Kelly Zwicker took No. 3 doubles, with both of those matches ending in 8-3 victories for the Penguins.

Morozova and Prescott earned singles victories in the No. 1 and No. 2 matches, respectively. Zwicker and Katafias also came up with wins at No. 5 and No. 6 singles play, respectively.

With five regular season matches still to play, Dominican will have a chance to surpass its win total from 2013 on Friday, March 28 vs. Dixie State. The match is slated to begin at 1:00 p.m. at the John F. Allen Athletics Complex.
