Second clean sweep of Argos moves Penguins above .500

Kelly Zwicker and the Penguins had a clean sweep of NDNU for the second time this season.

SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — On Wednesday, for the second time in a week and a half, the Dominican University of California women's tennis team came away with an easy 9-0 decision over visiting Notre Dame de Namur.

Dominican Head Coach Alex Poorta rested two of her top players, Irina Morozova and Emily Prescott, yet again and the Penguins were able to easily secure the clean sweep over NDNU (0-3), which arrived shorthanded.

The No. 10 regionally-ranked Penguins (5-4) earned 8-0 victories in both doubles matches and cruised to sweeps in all four singles matches as well with strong play from Chloe Vicari, Caitlin Aloia, Francesca Katafias, and Kelly Zwicker.

The Penguins will stay local this weekend with a match in Oakland versus Holy Names University on Saturday, March 22 at 9:00 a.m., followed by a home match on Sunday, March 23 versus UH Hilo at 12:00 p.m.
