Dominican trailed 10-7 early but returned to form with an 18-4 run to take set one with ease. In set three, the Penguins broke a 5-5 tie with five consecutive points, then used a 6-1 run to push the lead to 16-7. From there, Dominican crusied to the 25-16 victory and its fifth sweep of the season.

"We knew what to expect, they had a couple of different lineups and we were prepared for both of those lineups. Our play got stronger over the course of the match and it feels like we're getting stronger with every set that we play," said Head Coach Gayle Stammer. "We're going to need that in Hawai'i and I expect that it'll be a good trip for us."

Dominican's last loss came at home on Oct. 5 to No. 6 BYU-Hawaii. Since then, the Seasiders have moved to No. 5 in NCAA Division II. The Penguins will put their seven-match winning streak on the line when they head there to begin a three-match swing through Hawai'i on Oct. 31. Dominican will also face Chaminade University, who the Penguins topped 3-1 on Oct. 7, and Hawai'i Pacific University, who they have yet to face.
