SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — The Dominican University of California women's soccer team evened its Pacific West Conference record at 1-1 on Wednesday afternoon with a 2-1 defeat of reigning PacWest champ Dixie State College.

Julianna Bratsberg headed in a ball from
Michelle Mason.
Despite being outshot 20-8 for the game, Dominican took the lead for good in the fifty-third minute when
Tori Selesia got her foot on the ball in a scramble in front of the net after a perfectly placed
Katie Brown corner kick.
Bratsberg led the Dominican women with three shots on goal. Keeper
Megan Herring allowed one goal while making four saves.
Kelly Calton, who earned the win, came in at the half and collected six saves.
"The ladies are really starting to come together," said Dominican Head Coach

The Dominican women look for their second straight win when Hawai'i Hilo visits the Dominican campus on Friday, September 24. Kickoff at Forest Meadows Field is at 4:00 p.m., following the 1:30 men's game between the two schools.
