POMONA, Calif. — The Dominican University of California women's tennis team played shorthanded for the second straight day on Sunday and was swept away by non-conference opponent No. 28 Cal Poly Pomona.
The Mustangs (10-1), ranked No. 5 in the West region, picked up two forfeit wins in the No. 6 singles and No. 3 doubles since Dominican (2-9) played just five players.
Dominican won just three games – two by

Michele Freitas.
The Dominican returns home to face Pacific West Conference opponent Notre Dame de Namur University on Friday, March 26. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Dominican recorded a 6-3 victory in the teams' first meeting of the season.
