SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. — A shorthanded Dominican University of California women's tennis team was swept in non-conference play to Cal State San Bernardino on Saturday.

Stephanie Lemp and Michele Freitas battled and forced tiebreakers in their number one and two matches. After losing her first set, Lemp forced a tiebreaker against Britanny Choate before falling 6-4 (10-6). Freitas pushed her first set to a tiebreaker before dropping the decision 7-6 (7-4). The Lady Penguins dropped their number three, four, and five sets and defautled in the number six spot.

Freitas and Lemp fell in doubles play to Brooks and Isabella Fraczek. Caskey Cunningham and Anh Truongwere shut out 8-0 in the number two slot and Dominican defaulted its number three doubles match as well.

The Dominican women travel to Cal Poly Pomona for another non-conference match on Sunday, March 20. First serve is scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
