BOX SCORE

ROHNERT PARK, Calif. — The Dominican University of California women's tennis team didn't have the luck of the Irish on St. Patrick's Day as they were swept in non-conference play by nationally ranked Sonoma State University.

The Seawolves (7-5), ranked no. 45 in the nation and no. 8 regionally, took two of the doubles matches 8-0 and Dominican's Michele Freitas and Stephanie Lemp lost 8-2 in the number one doubles matchup.

Lemp played SSU's Stephanie Luk tightly 7-5 before falling 6-0 in singles play. Tami Tan played tough in the number three slot for Dominican (2-6) but eventually fell 6-2, 6-4 to Molly Maguire. Anh Truong dropped both sets 6-2 to number four Stephanie Hoffmire.

The Dominican women are right back at the net on Thursday, March 18 when Pacific West Conference opponent Grand Canyon University visits. First serve is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
