SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — The Dominican University of California women's tennis team dropped a doubleheader to Pacific West Conference opponent Academy of Art University on Sunday afternoon.

The Urban Knights (6-7) swept both matches, both of which were makeups from rainouts on Feb. 23 and March 3. Anh Truong played well for Dominican (2-5), but fell short 6-3, 6-4 as the number three player in the first match and 6-4, 6-3 in the second match, sliding down a slot to number four.

The combo of Michele Freitas and Stephanie Lemp gave the largest fight for the Lady Penguins in doubles play but fell 8-4 and 8-3 against AAU's number one combo of Laone Botshoma and Diane Phan.

Dominican now travels to Rohnert Park to face Sonoma State University on St. Patrick's Day, March 17. First serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
