MILLBRAE, Calif. — The Dominican University of California women's tennis team earned its first win of the season on Tuesday as the Lady Penguins defeated Notre Dame de Namur University 8-1. Dominican swept the doubles lineup and saw the number one duo of
Jessica Miller and
Stephanie Lemp earn an 8-0 match. Miller and Lemp also earned wins in their singles matches. Juniors
Michelle Freitas and
Tami Tan and sophomore
Anh Truong all also earned matches for Dominican, who improves to 1-1 on the young season. Freshman
Katie Lewis paired up with Truong to earn the number three doubles win.
The Lady Penguins will look for their second straight win when they travel to Mills College in Oakland on Wednesday, February 18. Matches begin at 2:00 p.m.
