John Paul “JP” McCarvel, retired jersey No. 10, anchored Dominican men’s soccer from 2002 to 2005. McCarvel became the Penguins’ all-time leading scorer with 49 goals over 75 matches. In 2003, he led the California Pacific Conference with 16 goals, and was a four-time California Pacific Conference Player of the Week and a four-time member of the Cal Pac All-Conference team. In 2005, McCarvel led the Penguins to the Cal Pac title.He double-majored in Psychology and International Business,graduating with a Bachelor’s degree from Dominican in 2006.
