ROCKLIN, Calif.- Dominican women's volleyball traveled up north for a non-conference match-up with PacWest foe Jessup Warriors Thursday night. The freshmen duo of
Kaylee Noa and
Alexis Schwartz fueled the Pengs offense in this one as Noa finished the match collecting a team high three aces while Schwartz slammed home five kills.
Jessup got out to a quick lead winning the first set and would eventually drop the Penguins three sets to zero.
The Pengs bright spot in this one was their blocking defense as sophomore
Reese Bozak and junior
Ashlyn Daugherty swatted down two blocks each. Daugherty, the Paso Robles native, has now recorded a block in every match this season bringing her total to 22.
Dominican will be back in action this Saturday, Sep. 27
th as they take on Menlo at 7 p.m. for their home opener.
