Dominican women's volleyball wrapped up the 2023 Otter Invitational on Saturday afternoon against Minnesota State University- Mankato. The Penguins fought hard all day but ended up losing 3 sets to 0.

Freshman Braenwynne Matthews led Dominican with seven kills on the day. Avery Schneider and Ella Heckman were just behind her with six and five kills.

Dominican had more digs as a team (26) than MNSU (23). Junior Miekayla Surnip was all over the court digging a game-high 11 digs. Fellow junior Camille Rivers led the Penguins in assists with 13.

The Penguins return home for their home opener this Wednesday Sep. 6 at 7 p.m. as they host Sonoma State University. Fans wear black as this game will be a "black out" match.
