Dominican women's volleyball wrapped up their road trip Saturday afternoon at Azusa Pacific. The Penguins dropped the match three sets to zero, but they did out dig the Cougars 49 to 39.
Junior
Miekayla Surnip led the way posting a game high 19 digs on the afternoon. The Manteca native tied her season high in digs against the Cougars. Fellow junior

Braenwynne Matthews were second behind Surnip in digs with eight a piece.
Senior leader
Amani Abed went for a team high nine kills and swatted down three blocks. Abed was everywhere on the court for the Penguins, and the Cougars had a hard time stopping her in this one.
Graduate student
Edee Leslie and sophomore
Avery Schneider also had three blocks against APU.
The Penguins return home Friday Sept. 22
nd when they host Westmont College at 7 p.m.
