The Dominican women's volleyball team, coming off their bye-week, hosted Chaminade on
Wednesday night at the Conlan Center. Schneider led the Penguins with eight kills on the night while freshman
Braenwynne Matthews was right behind her with seven.
The Swords would end up pulling out the 3 sets to zero victory in this one, but the Penguins had some highlights which include in the digs department. Dominican posted 41 total digs on the night, and junior
Miekayla Surnip was responsible for 12 of them. Freshman
Christina Muller was second on the team with five.
For Surnip, this is now her ninth match where she has gone for double-digit digs. Fellow junior
Camille Rivers led the team with 14 assists on the night.
The Penguins return to the court tomorrow night, Oct. 5
th at 7p.m. when they square up against the Vulcans from Hilo.
