Dominican women's volleyball hosted Azusa Pacific Thursday night which marked the start of a three-game home stand that concludes Sunday afternoon against CUI. The Cougars outlasted the Penguins winning the match 3 sets to 0.
Senior
Sophia Hull was busy for the Penguins as she racked up nine digs and one ace. The Fairfield native was inserted to the libero position after the first set and was all over the court for Dominican.
Freshman
Braenwynne Matthews led the Penguins with eight kills, and sophomore
Avery Schneider was right behind her posting five kills on the night. Senior leader
Amani Abed got up high and swatted down two blocks. The two blocks on the night for Abed now pushes her season total to eight.
Camille Rivers once again led Dominican in the assists department posting 11 with freshman
Christina Muller behind her dishing out seven.
The Penguins are back on the court tomorrow night, Oct. 20
th at 7 p.m. against Point Loma.
