Dominican women's volleyball traveled down south for a matchup against Westmont College on Friday night. The Penguins fought hard in the first set but would lose by three. Westmont would end up winning the match three sets to zero.
For the second consecutive match, sophomore
Avery Schneider led the team in kills posting nine on the night to go along with one assist. Graduate student
Edee Leslie and freshman
Braenwynne Matthews were second on the team with four kills apiece.
The Penguins had 40 digs on the night against the Warriors and junior
Miekayla Surnip had 14 of them. The Manteca native was all over the court for Dominican, and her 14 digs were a game high. Fellow junior
Camille Rivers collected seven digs of her own to go along with a team high 14 assists.
