Box Score SAN RAFAEL, Calif. -- Dominican women's soccer fell to visiting Azuza Pacific 3-0 in their first home loss of the season Saturday at Kennelly Field.

The Penguins (3-6-1, 1-4 PacWest Conference) were outshot by the Cougars (4-3-2, 4-0-2 PacWest Conference) 18-10 total and 11-4 in shots on goal. Junior goalie
Gabriella Tassano made eight saves in the game, while allowing three goals.

Tassano came up big for Dominican in the first half collecting five saves to keep the Cougars off the board. The Penguins' first shot came from junior
Lily Dubuc in the 14th minute, but it was saved by goalie Zoey Bauman.

Azuza Pacific continued to apply offensive pressure in the second half, eventually finding its first goal in the 49th minute as Randi Macadangdang scored her third goal of the season by taking away the ball from Tassano and shooting it into the empty net.

Christie Kennedy scored two goals in two minutes for the Cougars. She scored her first in the 68th minute on a curling shot inside the right post assisted by Allison Pepper and the second on a penalty kick to the lower right corner in the 69th minute.

The Penguins had a few chances to score in the second half. Junior
Bri Rodrigues had a shot in the 72nd minute that was saved by Bauman, and junior
Alyssa Campbell took her shot 10 minutes later with the same fate.
