KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) has announced the fourth annual Team Academic Excellence Awards, created by the NABC Committee on Academics. The 2015-16 Dominican University of California men's basketball has now made the list all four seasons.

These awards recognize outstanding academic achievement by a team with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or better for the 2015-16 season. In order to earn a NABC Team Academic Excellence Award, institutions in NCAA Division I, II, III, and NAIA Division I and II, must count the grade point averages of all men's student-athletes who competed during the 2015-16 season.

Dominican also had a program-high six student-athletes named to the 2015-16 NABC Honors Court, which recognizes individual men's collegiate student-athletes with a 3.2 GPA or higher. Seniors Matt Hayes, Karl Öhrner, and Christopher Schwartz-Edmisten were named to the team, as were juniors Josh Armstrong, Josh Ramirez, and Seth Turner.

The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches. For additional information about the NABC, its programs and membership, go to nabc.org.
