LA MIRADA, Calif.- Dominican men's basketball (15-10, 10-9) traveled down south Thursday night for a conference battle with the Eagles of Biola University. The black and gold came out scorching hot in the first half going 10 for 12 from behind the arc, but it was the Eagles who would flip the script in the second and come out with the 87-76 victory.
Senior leader
Nick Medeiros led the Pengs in the offensive department Thursday night as he went for 25 points while dishing out a game high eight assists. The Vallejo native also went perfect from behind the arc splashing home all his threes many of them came in the Pengs big first half.
Michael Wilson led most of the charge in the first half giving the Eagles fits from three-point land as he knocked down a game high four treys. Wilson and Medeiros would collect most of the buckets for Dominican and led the black and gold to 54 points. Biola had no answer for the Pengs fast paced offense in the first, and it was almost as if the halftime break couldn't have come at a better time for the Eagles. Wilson, the Sacramento native would finish second on the team in scoring posting 15 points while going an efficient 4 for 7 from behind the arc.
This ballgame was a tale of two halves, and in the second it was all Biola. Cameron Brown led the way for them as he collected all his buckets from the paint and the charity stripe.
