Four men's basketball players named to NABC Honors Court

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) today announced the 2014-15 NABC Honors Court, recognizing those men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season. The NABC Honors Court recognizes the talents and gifts that these men possess off the court and the hard work that they exhibit in the classroom.

Four Dominican men's basketball players were both named to the Honors Court for 2015-16: juniors Jonny Bates, Matt Hayes, Karl Ohrner, and Christopher Schwartz-Edmisten.

A record number of over 1,000 student-athletes from 350 colleges and universities earned NABC Honors Court distinction. In order to be named to the Honors Court, a student-athlete must be a junior or senior, post a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher at the conclusion of the 2014-15 academic year, and have matriculated at least one year at their current institution.

The NABC currently has nearly 5,000 members consisting primarily of university and college men's basketball coaches. For additional information about the NABC, its programs and membership, go to www.nabc.org.
