Box Score KANEOHE, Hawai'i — The Dominican University of California women's soccer team had a 2-1 halftime lead but Hawai'i Pacific University struck late and the Pacific West Conference action ended in a 2-2 tie on Sunday.

Freshman Lauren Gollnick scored just three minutes into action to give Dominican (7-6-2/6-4-2) an early 1-0 lead. Just five seconds later though the Sea Warriors' (6-7-3/5-4-3)  Liana Gualdarama evened the score off a free kick from 25 yards out.

Gollnick added her third goal of the trip and seventh goal of the season in the 26th minute on a ball from Mckenna Kimball and Julianna Bratsberg, who crossed it from 18 yards out, to give Dominican a 2-1 advantage headed into halftime.

Dominican goalkeeper Megan Herring was struck hard by Erika Ellis, who received a yellow card on the play. She was checked out but remained in the game. In the 81st minute, Gualdarama evened it again for HPU at 2-2 in what would turn out to be the match's final goal, a free kick just inside the midfield stripe. Ellis went on to receive another yellow card in double overtime, resulting in a red card and ejection.

Senior Alex Moran had a shot saved by Kelby Boswell in overtime and Herring made three of her eight saves in overtime.

On Tuesday, Dominican travels to the north shore of Hawai'i and conclude their three-game road trip to Oahu at BYU-Hawaii, who has one more conference win than the Lady Penguins.
