KANEOHE, Hawai'i — The Dominican University of California women's soccer team was shutout 2-0 on Saturday, falling to Hawai'i Pacific University in Pacific West Conference play.
Dominican leaves its tour of the islands with a 2-3 record and now stands at 6-7-1 overall and 5-4-1 in PacWest play. HPU improves to 5-9-0 overall and 5-5-0 in the PacWest.
Amber Fuller scored both goals for the Sea Warriors, scoring in the 48th minute on a penalty kick and again in the 52nd minute off a corner kick.
Shayna Elkins led Dominican with a pair of shots on goal.
The Lady Penguins return home to California to face the Academy of Art University on Saturday, October 30. As part of Dominican Athletics' efforts to raise awareness and support the fight against breast cancer, the Lady Penguins will don pink jerseys that will be signed and auctioned off at the match. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Forest Meadows Field.
