SAN RAFAEL, Calif. — The Dominican University of California women's soccer team bounced back from last week's tough 1-0 loss against Notre Dame de Namur with a convincing 6-0 Pacific West Conference victory over visiting Hawai'i Pacific University on Thursday afternoon.

The Lady Penguins (4-5-2/2-2-1) built a 4-0 victory in the first half thanks to a pair of goals by PacWest Top 10 Honor Roll member Stephanie Malone and goals by Shayna Elkins and Eleanna Mendez.

Dominican's Bridget Folan added a pair of second-half goals to seal the 6-0 victory.

The Sea Warriors (5-3-1/3-2-) were limited to four shots and placed just one shot on goal - Dominican's Jill Rizo made the diving save to preserve the shutout. Rizo played the final 10 minutes of the match while keeper Alicia Paulsen had a quiet day in her 80 minutes in front of the net.

Dominican takes the field again on Monday, Oct. 12 when the Lady Penguins host BYU-Hawaii. Kickoff is set for an early 11:00 a.m. with the men to follow at 1:30 p.m
