KNOXVILLE, Tennessee. - Dominican men's lacrosse (0-2) squared off against the Bobcats of Lees-McRae College Friday night. Mateo Polanco and senior leader Tanner Ennis led the way for the black and gold offensively as they collected two goals apiece.

The Cougars offense came out the gates strong as they opened the game on an 8-0 run led by Cayden Onagi. Freshman Calvin Welsh would halt the Bobcats momentum when he took a nice feed from teammate Matthew Stasinowsky and put it past the goalies' outstretched arms.

Hunter Smith was a bright spot for the Pengs as he won a game high 15 faceoffs while also collecting a game high 10 ground balls. Cole Rutz once again came up with double digit saves finishing with 10.

Dominican will be back on the field Feb. 15^th at 8 a.m. PST when they travel to UAH.
