GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.- Dominican men's lacrosse visited the Mavericks of Colorado Mesa for a conference match-up Saturday afternoon. Freshman
Chase Pacenta led the way for the Pengs offense posting three goals of his own as Dominican would finish with double digit goals against the No. 15 Mavericks. Colorado Mesa's offense was too much in this one as they would go on to win 22-10.
Pacenta, a Colorado native, enjoyed being back home as he was the driving force of the Pengs offense against the Mavericks. His three goals now give him 25 on the year which is a team high.
Tanner Ennis and
Ryan Lee were right behind Pacenta finishing with two goals each. Ennis has had a strong 2025 campaign coming where he is second on the team in scoring and against the Mavericks, he also dished out a team high three assists.
On the defensive side of the ball, sophomore
Wyatt Anderson led the team with three caused turnovers while also scooping up three ground balls. Graduate student
Joshua Peavey would lead the Pengs in the ground ball department with seven while Lee was second on the team with four.
Dominican will wrap up their regular season April 19
th at 1 p.m. when they travel down to CUI.
