Game Recap: Men's Lacrosse |

Pengs hang tough against the Griffins

SAN RAFAEL, Calif.- Dominican men's lacrosse wrapped up their 2025 home slate with a conference showdown with the Griffins of Westminster University Monday afternoon. Junior Cole Soper led the way for the Pengs as he finished with a team high three goals, but it was Westminster who came out on top in this one winning 15-9.

Fellow junior Tanner Ennis got the Pengs on the board midway through the first when he collected a ground ball then finished the offensive possession with a missile past the goalie. Dominican's defense was strong out the gates as they held Westminster to only two goals in the first period. Goalie Tristan Hunter was busy all day as he came up with 12 saves and four ground balls.

The Griffins would have a big second and third quarter as they built a 13-5 lead heading into the fourth. Dominican didn't back down as they would find some extra juice to go on winning the quarter 4-2 led by freshman Mathew Stasinowsky putting two past the goalie in the last quarter.

Dominican will be back in action March. 28th as they travel to Adams State at 1 p.m.
