SAN RAFAEL, Calif.- Dominican men's lacrosse welcomed in the No. 15 ranked Mavericks of Colorado Mesa University for a conference showdown Monday afternoon. Graduate student
Jason Eide continued his hot start to the season collecting a couple of goals in this one, but it wasn't enough as CMU would earn the 16-5 victory.
The Mavericks looked like a No. 15 ranked team early as their offense jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead. Eide put a stop to that when he sliced through the CMU defense after a nice dish from
Adrian Gilbert and finished it off with the Pengs first points of the game. Shortly after, teammate
Luke Vando had an early favorite for highlight goal of the year when he found an opening on the defense and finished it off with a beautiful twisting goal.
Junior
Tanner Ennis who is also off to a good start to his 2025 season netted his second goal when he put some nifty moves on the Mavericks defender for a goal assisted by
Chase Pacenta.
Cole Soper called his own number late in the ballgame finishing off a nice offensive possesion for the Pengs.
Dominican will now travel down south as they take on Lynn in Boca Raton Feb. 28
