BELOIT, Wis.- Dominican women's lacrosse hit the road again this time traveling to the badger state to square off against the Buccaneers of Beloit College Monday afternoon. The Penguins would cruise to victory as they scored 18 goals for the second straight game resulting in a 18 to 8 victory.
Sophomore
Siena Fairbanks led the offense in this one as she scored a game-high four goals. She got the scoring started early as she found the back of the net two minutes into the game.
Kano Sugawara,
Macie Wood,
Brooke Vafi, and
Jacelyn Lazore would all follow in Fairbanks footsteps and collect a goal in the first giving the Penguins a 7-1 lead going into the second quarter.
Dominican never trailed in this one, and their biggest lead of the day was 10. Vafi and Lazore posted three goals each while junior
America Vizcaino and sophomore
Taylor Pieri went for two goals apiece.
The Penguins are back in action April 9
th as they face-off against Lewis University at 6 p.m. CDT.
