TURLOCK, Calif.- Dominican women's tennis traveled down south to square off against the Warriors of Stanislaus State afternoon. The Penguins would end up winning this one in dominant fashion 6-1.

Maria Gavrilov got Dominican on the board first when they won over on doubles No. 3 7-5. Shortly after, fellow teammates
Carolina Guerrero and
Deepalakshmi Vanaraja won their doubles match giving the Penguins the early 1-0 lead going into singles.
When the match moved to singles play the Penguins dominated winning five out of six earning the 6 to 1 victory. Team captain
Gina Dudley made quick work of her opponent on singles No. 2 winning 6-4 and 6-0. Vanaraja and sophomore
Astrid Craig defeated their opponents in two sets which essentially clinched the victory for the Penguins.
Dominican is back at home against UC Santa Cruz for a St. Patrick's Day match-up.
