IRVINE, Calif. – Dominican men's lacrosse fell 28-5 Friday to Colorado Mesa in the first of two games in Southern California at Golden Eagles Field.
Brennan Krebs led all Penguins (2-2) with three goals while JJ Brummett led the Mavericks (1-0) with eight goals and one assist.
CMU controlled the game from the start scoring two goals within the first minute and scoring the first seven goals of the game before Krebs netted his first. Krebs would add two more in the first half to be the only player from Dominican to score in the opening 30 minutes of play. The Mavericks meanwhile scored 22 goals in the opening half to build an insurmountable lead.
Dominican will return to Golden Eagle Field for a matchup with Westminster at 1 p.m. Saturday.
