SAN RAFAEL, Calif.- Dominican men's lacrosse hosted their first NCAA Division II game since 2014 as they welcomed Concordia University Irvine to town. The Penguins opened their season with two victories in Colorado last week. The Golden Eagles offense was too much to handle as they would go on to win 24-8.
CUI got the game started with an early goal, but Dominican's
Per-Anders Olters answered with a goal of his own slashing through the Golden Eagles defense. The graduate student ended the day with four goals pushing his early season total to 13.
Junior
Kenny Seiler was able to get loose for his first goal of the young season in the third quarter. Despite being down, the Penguins had no quit in them. The trio of
Caelan Briggs,
Brennan Krebs,
Noah Gibson all found the back of the net in the fourth quarter along with three from Olters.
Dominican will look to bounce back as they take on Colorado Mesa University Feb. 23
rd at 3 p.m. in Irvine, Calif.
